The largest Rainbow Fish caught was a monster at 13 and a half pounds caught by Mr. Lewis of Llanelltyd. The largest Brown Trout was a beautiful 6 lb specimen. The section between the two gates on the northern end of the lake is for fly fishing only. You are also allowed to fly fish on the other sections of the lake if you desire. Bait fishing is also allowed on the lake except for the Fly Fishing Section. Spinning, ground baiting or loose feeding is not allowed.
